The Czech International Amateur Championship 2024 for elite golfers is scheduled for August 7-10. Players can sign up for this international four-day stroke play golf tournament at the Karlovy Vary Golf Resort until July 30th at noon.
The top Czech men and women amateurs and their tough foreign rivals will face off this year at one of Europe's oldest golf courses. The Golf Resort Karlovy Vary championship course is set to host the exceptional amateur championship, attracting around 150 top amateur golfers each year. As usual, over half the starting field fills up six weeks ahead of the tee-off, as the flow of applications from domestic and foreign players closes by the end of July.
All amateur-status players can compete who also meet the handicap criteria established for men (under 2.5) and for women (under 3.0). Those with the highest HCP will be eliminated in case applications exceed capacity.
Veronika Kedroňová will surely take the opening shot to defend last year's title of amateur international champion of the Czech Republic in the 2023 stroke play game from Zbraslav. Even the men's title remained in the CR last year thanks to Filip Jakubčík's first-place finish.
The Czech International Amateur Championship 2024 retains its four-round format, in which, after two rounds, the men's starting field is reduced to the best 48 and all ties, and the women's to the best 24 and all ties.
The main referee Dalibor Procházka along with another three referees, Michael Jon, Luboš Klikar, Vitězslav Štrouf and Tomáš Vávra, will oversee the standard course of the 2024 International Stroke Play Championship of the Czech Republic. The competition director is Dalibor Procházka.
